These are some Calendula growing in a tub, Last year had 1 plant I think in this tub and these are self sown plants. They are good for attacking greenfly eating insects, so they get to stay
Weather report - Sunny all day ,Wakefield, England and in Leeds and South Elmsall.
Of note checked my bee hive and could not find a queen still and I dont think there are any baby bees either. However spoke to a chap at the association and I am picking him up tomorrow to have a look at the hive, cast an experts eye over the issue.
good luck with that Queen. I hope she is found. I would think that there must be one. Other wise I would think that they would take off on you.
ReplyDeletepicked the chap up and checked then out yesterday. no good. no queen laying eggs :-/ gutted.. there was a queen but for some reason she was not laying but every cloud has a silver lining and he has took the hive away and will requeen it for me and I will pick it up in a couple of weeks or three. So much happier now that it is getting sorted.

ReplyDeletewell. be kinda sorting that last night and this. needed some bee supplies so I was at the bee club yesterday and talking to Pro. he said he introducing a new queen now with a swarm of bees. The swarm is quite large so he needed another brood box and frames. Been setting the box and frames up tonight and dropping them. Hopefully will put the box on the hive on Saturday and I am going down to help
