Onions - Ailsa Craig

First time growing onions from seeds and so far so good. Before i have always gone for onion sets but I thought why not. These were sown on the 28th February. Most seeds have grown and I only put one seed per pot. There are 40 pots and I have no idea how come one pot is missing. I will also plant some sets and compare them as the season moves on.

  2. thanks Reg. I have heard and read good reports. They dont bolt and apparently they produce onions of equal or greater size to sets. Time will tell. I will definfately blog my results.

  3. I haven't grown onions at all before. I've got some sets for this year, but still haven't got them in the ground yet.
